Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 April 2026

These Terms of Service (‘Terms’) govern your use of MealPlan, operated by Toby Andrews, trading as MealPlan (‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

MealPlan is a web application available at dinnersorted.uk that helps you plan weekly meals, organise recipes, and create shopping lists (‘the Service’).

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 16, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

To use MealPlan, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may invite other users to join your household. Each invited user must create their own account and accept these Terms independently before accessing the Service. You should only invite people you know and trust.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page within the app. Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

3. Free trial and subscription

MealPlan offers a 30-day free trial. Your subscription automatically renews to a paid plan at £1.99 per month at the end of the trial period. We will send you a reminder by email before the first charge is taken.

  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
  • No refunds are given for the remaining portion of a billing period after cancellation. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • We reserve the right to change our pricing with reasonable notice. Any price changes will apply from your next billing cycle after the change is communicated.

4. Right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a right to cancel within 14 days of entering into a paid subscription, without giving a reason.

When you begin using the Service (whether via a free trial or a paid subscription), you consent to the Service being made available to you immediately. If you are on a free trial and cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you cancel a paid subscription within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of that period. After the 14-day cooling-off period, no refund is given for the current billing period, but no further charges will be made.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload through the Service, including meals, recipes, shopping lists, and images (‘Your Content’).

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing and maintaining the Service for you.

You are responsible for the content you create and upload. You must not upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

6. Allergen and dietary warning

MealPlan is not a substitute for reading food labels or consulting original recipe sources. You must always independently verify ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information before preparing or consuming any food. If you have food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements, do not rely on the Service as your sole source of ingredient or allergen information.

7. AI features

MealPlan uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) for recipe import, meal suggestions, and ingredient categorisation. When you use these features, ingredient names and recipe page content are sent to OpenAI for processing in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. In particular:

  • AI-generated ingredient lists, quantities, and categorisations may be incomplete or incorrect.
  • MealPlan does not guarantee the accuracy of allergen information, nutritional data, or dietary suitability derived from AI processing.
  • You must always verify AI-generated content against the original recipe source.

8. Shopping list estimates

Cost estimates shown in shopping lists are approximate and provided for reference only. Actual prices will vary by retailer, location, and time. We accept no liability for the accuracy of cost estimates.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users’ accounts, or our systems
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, or similar) to access or interact with the Service without our prior written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Abuse the household invitation system, including sharing invitation codes publicly
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by Toby Andrews and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes in advance.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by the laws of England and Wales, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Where practical, we will provide notice before taking action.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including OpenAI, PostHog, Resend, Cloudflare, Turso, and Netlify. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of the Service may be subject to additional terms imposed by these providers.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the ‘Last updated’ date at the top.

For material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service. Material changes will require you to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service. For non-material changes (such as clarifications or formatting), continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
